Santha Durga Kudatheri Mahamaye temple at Avidem, Quepem it's about 10km from
Madgaon railway station. Most of the temples in Goa has accomodation for
devotees with canteen, 2 rooms were booked for us
Day 1
Plan was to see Colva, Agonda, Cola &
Palolem beach, but all stayed back at temple as it was Chaitra Pournami. I got
a bus to Madgaon - Canacona - Palolem beach it's with Palm trees and nice shacks
with lot of foreigners & domestic tourists having a great time in the beach
even it was a off season people were thronging as it was continuous holidays
Monty Thursday Good Friday.
In day time shacks were deserted but people are
enjoying the beer & cocktails beer is priced @ Rs 120 / Rs 140 vary from
shacks to shack. I got fooled by a shack saw a billboard happy hours Kingfisher
Ultra @ Rs 90 @ Heneiken @ Rs 80 so checked with the waiter got the info that
above rates applicable only if we order food, so ordered chicken pepper fry and
Heneiken and sat there till Vinod & others came from Temple - Agonda beach
it was a deserted beach
Palolem beach is one of the golden beaches in
South Goa with nice shacks & rock beach on the southern end it was a nice
place with rocks and a small beach with shacks overlooking the beach
Boat ride to monkey Island, butterfly beach
& honeymoon beach by boat after haggling with boat people got a boat shared
with four others it's Rs 1500- 1800 per boat but we shelled out Rs 1200 for 6
people, it's a bumpy rollercoaster ride through the rough seas the only name
sake protection is the lifejacket without any fasteners, not for the faint
hearted, so moved near monkey Island, butterfly Island this can also be reached
thru a trek thru Agonda - Lepord road, as this place is very steep the boat did
not went to this place, moved to honeymoon beach we can spend about 20 mins had
a stroll on the tiny piece of beach and moved to back to Palolem beach for the
sunset.
Day 2
breakfast from temple moved to the Lady of
immaculate conception conception church, which is appearing in most of the
Bollywood movies then to Panaji Fontainhas to see the colorful old Portugese
style buildings had a stroll, next was Reis Magos fort & Aguada fort both
are on the same way , had a mini lunch near Reis Magos fort & moved to
Aguada it was almost 4pm skipped Calangute , Baga because we have to reach

Anjuna Pebbles Guesthouse booked 2 rooms thru
bookmytrip @ Rs 1500 per room nice rooms with balcony it's very near to Anjuna
beach 10 mins walk, Anjuna flea market is also on the way, kept out luggage and
moved to Anjuna beach
Candolim, Calangute, Baga beaches are on the way
to Anjuna but due to time constraint moved to Anjuna beach it's also with
shacks but not so much crowd it's a beach with laterite formations on the beach
spend sometime nice sunset, usual goan beach shacks will be alive with
thundering music & blazing lights spend some time and moved back to our
room, dinner at the mercy of Swiggy ordered from multiple accounts to get
offer, but nice yummy food
Day 3
morning walk to Anjuna, beach was alive with few
fishing anglers and some couples on the beach, spend some time on the beach,
Vinod with others came to have tea near Anjuna beach moved back to room.
Chapora for was very near to our place about 5 kms so its
climb on under scorching sun, but very disappointed to see vendors all over the
fort even at the entrance arch and inside the fort, had a nice view of little
vagator & vagator beach from the top.
The long ride to old Goa Basilica of Bom Jesus / Se
Cathedral is a must see church with beautiful arches, moved to Mangeshi temple
